Nearly two centuries ago, the leaders of our nation made a promise to care for its retired and aging military personnel as a way to repay our Veterans for the sacrifices they made to protect this country. That assurance resulted in the creation of two homes in the 1800’s, the US Navy Asylum in Philadelphia and the US Military Asylum in Washington, DC. Over the years, those homes have evolved and shifted into a modern retirement community, the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), which welcomes veterans from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

VMSI recently won a single-award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to assist the AFRH with an array of support services. AFRH’s mission coincides with VMSI’s passion of ensuring we take care of our military members that have sacrificed much for our great country.
