The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Roanoke, Virginia recently awarded a contract to VMSI to provide a professional reader to enable vision impaired employees the ability to fully contribute to the team’s effort by assisting them in their duties.

Some of the specific duties that VMSI staff provide include: reading many different VA computer systems, ensuring formatted letters and forms are correct and assisting in reading PDF documents, reading leave requests, assisting in online training format; setting up computer, reading case files for quality assurance, reading work of subordinates, reading applications for employment, credit card reconciliation statements, and reading files for case transfer.
