Honoring Our Armed Forces Veterans

VMSI salutes all Veterans and their families for their dedication and service to this country.

As the nation observes Veterans Day 2017 tomorrow, our thoughts turn to the men and women who currently serve in the Armed Forces, as well as to all veterans who have made sacrifices and served our country in the past.

Shane A. Moore, a service disabled, honorably discharged US Marine and CEO of VMSI, understands the meaningful place veterans hold in our workforce. “VMSI knows and appreciates that our veterans perform an essential and unique role not only in the civilian workplace, but also in the communities where they live. When you consider the management and leadership skills our veterans develop while on active and reserve duty, it’s a logical choice for us to create opportunities for these fine men and women.”

As a successful veteran-owned small business, VMSI is proud to be part of the nearly one in 10 small businesses nationwide owned by a US military veteran, and one of the more than 2.4 million small businesses that employ almost 6 million Americans and generate more than $1 trillion in receipts.*

We actively employ a workforce that consists of 20% veterans, and we honor those who continue to serve their country in the private sector even after leaving military service. Starting this November, we will profile a veteran who works for VMSI each month, focusing on the life they lived before their career with us and the life they live now as part of our workforce.

To all those who either served in the military, have a spouse, child, or loved one who has served, or knows someone that has volunteered for military service, VMSI would like to acknowledge the personal sacrifices and contributions of those individuals for their dedication to our great nation. This Veteran’s Day, we salute you!
