VMSI, as part of the Shoulder to Shoulder team (S2S Team) was recently awarded a Task Order under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)’s, Agile Delivery of VA Imminent Strategic and Operational Requirements (ADVISOR) IDIQ to provide training support the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA). The S2S Team is one of only 12 prime contractors on the ADVISOR contract. ADVISOR provides a department-wide vehicle for a broad range of general management and business support services and solutions. ADVISOR is a 5-year/$550M Veteran-Owned Small Business contract.

The VAAA was created to address the growing acquisition workforce challenge facing the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Federal Government overall. The Academy provides quality course deliveries to students, aiding in the development of a competent workforce. The VAAA provides training that enables students to convey exceptional service to their customers – the nation’s Veterans and their dependents. The Academy aims to foster a workforce of skilled professionals who deliver impactful results. The Academy consists of five schools: Program Management (PM) School, Contracting Professional School, Supply Chain Management School, Facilities Management School and Acquisition Internship School.
