VMSI VAAA CPS Team Recognized for Exceptional Effort on SALT

VMSI’s VAAA CPS SALT Team

Six VMSI employees on our VA Acquisition Academy (VAAA), Contracting Professional School (CPS) contract were recently recognized for their hard work and dedication to the Senior Acquisition Leadership Training (SALT) program.

SALT is a cohort-based development program, targeted toward advancing critical leadership competencies among the VA contracting workforce. Emphasis is on real-world scenarios and the use of learning agility techniques to cultivate a strategic, results-oriented perspective.

Teammates Christine Nguyen, Drew Broadhurst, Jennifer Kim, Nilima Rawal, Sean Kobrin, and Tom Trump assisted with the development, launch, and facilitation of SALT’s instructor-led courses, web-based training, social learning platforms, interactive real-world application, and capstone project centered on applying program content and developmental learning skills. Talia Fox, not pictured here but previously recognized for her exemplary service, acts as the Lead Instructor for the SALT Program.

Senior VAAA CPS officials praised the exceptional team effort shown by our employees, saying, “[The] graphics have made this program a stand-out from the beginning,” and “[VMSI] provided great advice as the program was shaped into SALT; created many contracting-specific scenarios that we have incorporated into the final product.”

The ready-to-act attitude and willingness to step up in all situations has been a powerful indicator of our team’s commitment to the success of the SALT program, and we couldn’t have been successful without each individual’s expertise.
