VMSI Wins Contract to Support FEMA

In August, VMSI won a one-year contract with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where we will provide support for flood-study related contracts. This award comes at a time when the southern hemisphere is in full recovery mode from hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose, and Maria.

“We are proud to be part of this important effort,” said Ken Konkol, VMSI’s COO. “For almost 7 years VMSI has successfully provided contract support services to hurricane relief efforts including Katrina and Sandy. Nationwide, we have assisted our government clients’ missions to help individuals and communities recover from the devastation of natural disasters.”

VMSI’s expertise in contracts and acquisition support operations allows us to deliver innovative and integrated solutions that meet the needs of disaster relief efforts in a timely manner. From 2013 to present, VMSI has played a vital role in helping Fish and Wildlife Service provide aid to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Our FEMA support team will leverage our institutional knowledge and experience to support FEMA’s recovery efforts after this year’s unprecedented series of devastating weather events.
