THANK YOU to our VMSI employees!

VMSI recently lost a long-term and loved employee to COVID-19 just a few weeks ago – our Director of Human Resources, Maria Morales-Hankins. Her husband, Dave, also succumbed to his battle with COVID-19 just three weeks prior.  Maria had been with VMSI for the past 6 years and quickly became a very vital part of VMSI’s culture and organization.  Maria made very lasting imprints on all the lives she touched and will always be missed and never forgotten.

When members of our VMSI employee family learned of this tragedy, they all stepped up.  We received requests to donate their much-deserved and hard-earned paid-time-off in honor of not only Maria’s memory, but to also provide for Maria and Dave’s two sons, Matthew and Joshua.  We were simply amazed by the generosity shown.

With a total of nearly four weeks of PTO donated, VMSI is overwhelming appreciative of our employee contributions and a total of $6,668.00 was provided to Matthew and Joshua to help them through this challenging time.

To our VMSI employees: we are so moved by the stand-up type of people we are blessed to have as part of our organization and thank each and every one of you for all your emails, calls, kind words and paid-time-off donations for Maria’s two sons.
